Explanatory Notes
The club has entered teams in three main competitions since its foundation:
VAA/AV Track & Field
The club's first team was entered in the Victorian Athletic Association (VAA - which later changed its name to Athletics Victoria, or AV) track and field competition in the 1944/45 season.
Initially this competition was held in succeeding grades designated as A, B, C, etc at Olympic Park.
In 1961 the competition was moved to multiple venues, following which there was a separate venue final followed by an association final.
'A Grade' became a separate competition that rotated between the venues and became the completely separate State League competition in 1984 (in which SKAAC competed as part of the APS United combine club) leaving B Grade as the top interclub competition at each venue.
In 1999-2000 the interclub grades were renamed Division 1 (formerly B Grade), Division 2 (formerly C Grade), etc.
APSOCAAA Cross Country
In 1958 the club entered a team in APS Old Collegians Amateur Athletic Association (APSOCAAA) cross country competition.
Until 1989, the 'unofficial' premiership in APSOCAAA was the final event of the season, the Cooke-McClelland 12km run in Kew/Studley Park.
We have used those results here. In 1990 a formal premiership was created over five (later six) events and we have used the results in this competition from 1990.
Prior to 1999, several women competed for SKAAC in APSOCAAA competition on a casual basis. In 1999 a separate, official women's championship was introduced.
VAA/AV Winter Season (Cross Country and Road Running)
Since 1978 the club has also entered teams in VAA/AV cross country and road running events. In 1977 SKAAC athletes had also competed on an 'invite' basis. Until 1983 there were separate premierships in VAA/AV road running and cross country. From 1984 these were combined into a single premiership.

In the following list, '?' indicates missing or unknown results, '-' indicates that no teams were entered and 'CB' indicates that the result was determined on a count back.
Listed teams are men's teams unless otherwise indicated.
In 2004-05 AV track and field competition, all SKAAC finals teams were disqualified and relegated to fourth due to team sheets having been submitted late earlier in the week.
However, by the time this decision was confirmed the teams had competed on the day (all qualifying issues were resolved between the clubs).
We have provided the actual result in brackets after the 'official AV result'.
